New generation thermal overloads from NHP
NHP has released the new Sprecher + Schuh CT7N bi-metal thermal overload with advanced protection features and a new look. Sprecher + Schuh have always paid particular attention to motor protection, and this is reflected in their new CT7N line of thermal overloads, which includes many features not available in traditional relays.
Today’s T-frame (MEPS) motors have less iron and copper than older motors and therefore a faster class 10 is required. The CT7N incorporates superior class 10 characteristics to ensure optimum, reliable and consistent protection.
Some features and benefits include:
- Selectable manual or automatic reset modes
- Separate N/O contact isolated from trip contact (can be used on different voltage rails)
- Increased thermal capabilities allowing close-coupling of devices
- Suitable for single phase applications with all protection functions available
- New adaptor external rest CT7N-RA3 provides a larger target surface for actuation
Applications:
- HVAC
- Pumps
- DC applications – Variable Speed Drives
- Small machinery and conveyors
- Hoists and lifts
