NHP Emergency Lighting Test Unit

NHP has re-designed its Emergency Lighting Test Unit. Two new versions are available:

  • ELTS (manual operation via spring return switch)
  • ELTK (manual operation via a key operated spring return switch).
NHP Emergency Lighting Test Unit

The test units allow the power to be removed so the emergency lights run on battery power and can be inspected for operation. They also ensure that charging power is automatically restored after the test. When the Emergency Lighting Test Switch is in the normal position, the Emergency and Exit lights are connected to the supply, which will allow their batteries to charge.

When the test switch is momentarily switched to the test position, a timer begins to operate and a contactor cuts supply to the Emergency & Exit lights so that they run on battery power for inspection. The inspection time continues until either the timer times out or the test switch is switched momentarily to the reset position, which will cancel the test and restore supply to the Emergency & Exit Lights.
