NHP and Rockwell Automation Expand Distribution Partnership
NHP and Rockwell Automation recently announced their intention to extend their current distribution partnership in order to better serve customers in Australia and New Zealand.
NHP will commence preparations to assume a new distribution role for Allen-Bradley® products in most parts of Australia and all of New Zealand. NHP will become the sole distributor of Allen-Bradley® products within its allocated geographic area from 1st July, 2009. The map above shows the geographic coverage of the new distribution arrangements when they become fully effective.
NHP will continue to market its current complementary products in all parts of both countries, which includes the Sprecher + Schuh range. NHP will now add the Allen-Bradley® range of products to its extensive offering within its allocated geographic area. This will provide customers with a “one-stop shop” for all their industrial switchgear and automation requirements.
Rockwell is the leading global provider of industrial automation solutions and switchgear components. Rockwell, by partnering with NHP, will help customers across a wide range of industries to achieve a competitive advantage in their businesses.

NHP’s extensive sales network
NHP has the most powerful industrial electrical sales team in Australia and New Zealand across 19 branches and 29 regional locations. NHP’s highly motivated sales team is extremely customer focused as they seek to build long term relationships as well as constantly being on the lookout for prospective customers. Each team member undergoes regular product and product application training which enables them to assist our customers in the selection of the right product and product solution for their requirements.
In addition to the large number of sales staff interfacing with customers on a daily basis, NHP has a solid sales support network in place at all branches. Besides the internal customer service staff who attend to on the spot pricing and delivery inquiries, NHP’s Application Engineering team is available to attend customer premises and project sites to assist with technically challenging product requirements and issues. This will often involve design assistance and site electrical evaluations and reports as well as product selection and configuration advice.

NHP’s 19 branch offices are distributed throughout all states and territories across Australia and New Zealand. Each branch office provides a ‘mini-HQ’ in profile, with extensive local stock warehousing, a technical support team, sales personnel, in-house training facilities and personnel, a fully equipped workshop for product development and customisation – everything that is required to support customers’ local and immediate requirements.

Complementing our branch offices are 29 regional representatives who extend NHP’s knowledge and customer support to areas beyond the reach of our main branch offices Our fully trained and experienced regional technical staff carry stock of most of NHP’s leading brands, as well as providing vital customer support in the most remote locations.
NHP introduces new range of ISO plugs and sockets
NHP recently introduced their new ISO Plugs and Sockets range which is now available from all Gemcell electrical wholesalers. The Industrial Strength Options (ISO) range of IP 66 rated plugs and sockets are suitable for industrial, commercial and domestic single and three phase applications, from 10 A to 50 A; 3, 4 and 5 pin configurations. They feature extruded ribbed grips, making it easier to remove the plug from the socket and also assists when tightening, to ensure a good seal. The ISO Socket incorporates an isolator that has the facility to padlock in the ON and OFF positions and accepts almost any locking device.
ISO Plugs and Sockets are made to AS/NZS 3112:2004 and AS/NZS 3123:2005 and their material composition makes them suitable for most industrial and commercial applications. Designed, engineered and tested in Australia for Australian and New Zealand conditions, the design has been carefully crafted with rounded corners, ensuring there are no small crevices where dirt and grime can easily accumulate, making the ISO Plugs and Sockets great for applications where wash downs are required and cleanliness is essential.

NHP/SAGE V8 Ute set for the challenge in 2009 Yokohama V8 Ute Racing Series
NHP takes pride in sponsoring various sporting teams around Australia and New Zealand and for the second year running, NHP has got onboard with SAGE Automation to sponsor Gary “Chuckie” Baxter’s NHP/SAGE V8 Ute in the much coveted 2009 Yokohama V8 Ute Racing Series.
Gary has got the campaign off to a great start with a Round 1 victory in the Clipsal 500 in Adelaide, setting the stage for a great year on and off the track for the NHP/SAGE team. NHP, like Gary “Chuckie” Baxter, are always striving for perfection as well as finding new ways of getting the best out of themselves, so as a perfectly matched pair they endeavour to have a successful 2009 both on the track and in business!
