During 2009 customers can expect to see a whole new look for the electrical components, systems and services leader, Eaton Industries.

Following completion of the merger with The Moeller Group last year, the two companies have joined forces to create a single organisation under the Eaton name. With more staff and strong technical and engineering expertise, Eaton has some aggressive plans for the market.

The first change that most customers will see will be a new combined offer. This draws on the best of both Eaton and Moeller to create a complete range of IEC compliant products for all market segments – from residential and commercial to heavy industry and mining. The result is a greatly expanded set of Eaton products, systems and services encompassing:

  • Automation & Control
  • Drives and Soft Starters
  • Electronic Components
  • Busduct
  • DC Power Systems
  • Decontactors
  • Disconnectors
  • Fusegear
  • Enclosures
  • Low Voltage Modular Assemblies
  • Low Voltage Distribution Boards
  • Low Voltage Metering Panels
  • Low Voltage Main Switchboards
  • Low Voltage Motor Control Centres
  • Low Voltage Breakers MCBs/RCDs/RCBOs
  • Low Voltage Moulded Case Circuit Breakers
  • Low Voltage Air Circuit Breakers
  • Motor Control Components

The name “Moeller” will remain as a key Eaton brand, joining other globally recognised names including Cutler Hammer, Westinghouse, Heinemann, Bell MEM, Powerware, Holec & Durant. To make power protection, control and distribution purchasing decisions even easier, Eaton will also continue to represent a number of leading international vendors including Maréchal, Kyoritsu, ETA and Circutor.

What does it all mean for customers?

Eaton management is confident that the merger has created a bigger, better, more comprehensive product range which will be delivered by a bigger, better, more comprehensive company.
